Prior to joining the faculty of Dankook University in 2005, Professor MacDonald taught at Queen’s University School of English at Kingston, and Seoul Women’s University.
From March 2005 until December 2016, he taught English Rhetoric and Composition in the
Department of English Language and Literature, the Department of British and American
Humanities, the Graduate School of TESOL, and the Graduate School of English Education. In
addition to the duties at Dankook University, from 2014 to 2016 Professor MacDonald was an adjunct professor at the Korean Institute of Justice.
During his tenure as Professor of English Rhetoric and Composition at Dankook University in
Korea, Professor was nominated for teaching awards on three occasions and consistently ranked in the top ten percent on university teaching evaluation surveys.

Monika has been teaching college level for over 10 years in Montreal, Quebec. She has extensive experience preparing students for university level English courses, and AP-level academic writing. She received the “Special Teacher” award in 2020. Previous students have gone on to pursue journalism, engineering, and literary studies at McGill, Concordia and Harvard university. She has published academic articles in prestigious journals such as Studies in English Literature. Monika has worked overseas in the UK and Nepal, teaching English language, literature, and drama. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Education with a focus in open, digital and distance education.

Dylan is a certified teacher with experience teaching a wide variety of ages, abilities, and cultural backgrounds both in-person and online. He studied history and sociology at the University of Toronto, education at Trent University, and Shakespeare, 20th century poetry, and political science at the University of Waterloo.
He has experience teaching debate, speech performance, social studies, literature and English as a Second Language in online and classroom settings. At the University of Waterloo, he worked as a teaching assistant for Academic Writing and Business Communication.
Dylan edited the initial draft of ‘The Cambridge Introduction to Bakhtin’, a forthcoming book written by Professor Ken Hirschkop and published by Cambridge University Press.

Alicia has been working with children for over 20 years, building experience as an educator in both Canada. She has had the opportunity of working with children in a wide variety of settings and pedagogies. Alicia has obtained experience in Waldorf, Montessori, and Constructivist pedagogies through working in a variety of early learning settings. Her multi-faceted professional experience gives her powerful understanding of how children learn and how to engage them in their learning effectively.
Alicia worked as a Designated Early Childhood Educator in the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board for 5 years. During her time with the HWDSB she developed both in-person and online experience of the kindergarten classroom, working online exclusively for almost 2 years.

Teacher Monica has been teaching Ontario High School students for 25 years, specifically in the areas of Math, Science and Physics and ESL. Monica has lived and taught in a few countries (including Denmark and New Zealand) .
Teacher Monica was a Department Head of Science and was involved in Science Fairs and Engineering competitions. She also collaborated with local Elementary Schools to participate in Robotics Competitions and to bring science experiments into the classrooms. She worked with school board on curriculum development and evaluation.
Teacher Monica also initiated, organized, fund raised and ran many student volunteer construction and education brigades to Central America to enhance the life of both the high school students and of impoverished children in Honduras and Guatemala.

Teacher Kyle has worked in research positions for universities, private corporations, and the government of Canada. He has been teaching university and college level courses for the last 6 years at the University of Victoria. He has also been tutoring science students full time for the last 4 years with a focus on Biology and Physics.
Kyle emphasizes the progression from core concepts to precise details to develop student’s understanding of the process of science. His goal is to stimulate student’s problem solving and 3-dimensional thinking so that they will remember the reasons and evidence supporting their science curriculum. Dr. Sonia SOLTANA was born in Paris, She attended Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne, obtained Bachelor degree Fine Arts, Master’s degree, Fine Arts and Diploma of Doctor, Fine Art, Earned doctorate PhD.
Dr. Sonia studied visual arts and mostly met students from all over the world. She taught visual arts in various colleges in Paris to students from different backgrounds and age groups. Dr. Sonia explores different skills to teach, including usual activities: rituals, nursery rhymes, phonology, mathematics, album reading, leading virtual tours of museums and monuments. She is familiar with the use of the Parisian cultural places and educational websites, and also with rich experience in supporting students to prepare for TEF Canada (Test d’Evaluation de Français).
Dr. Sonia is passionate about teaching and is committed to supporting, encouraging and inspiring students. She just moved to Vancouver and hopes to share her experiences with students and lead them to explore the culture and life in France.

Rickey got a Bachelor of Math from the University of Waterloo, majoring in Statistics. He is also expert in programming. Combining these skills, he works as an Associate - Data Science, in the Quantitative Risk and Research team, at Asset Management. His major tasks include data mining, data, data analysis and financial modeling using various economic data to predict stock momentum.
Rickey has accumulated several years of experience in teaching and tutoring, including work for university level mathematics at University of Waterloo, teaching at two high end private schools. Rickey's specialty is teaching mathematics for grades 1-12, IB math, AP courses and math competitions. While serving as a private school math teacher, he helped students prepare for various math competitions, and successfully helped students ace in Euclid math competition and gain scholarships from University of Waterloo.
Rickey’s teaching style is lively. He is good at communicating with students and getting the attention of students. Because his teaching philosophy is to tailor the lessons to students of different grades and backgrounds, but the most important thing is to stimulate students’ interest in learning, so that they could actively participate class and achieve good results.

Her students won CNML competition (6th position in BC), Elmacon (7th position in BC) and scored 1st place American Math Kangaroo.

Ivan has been excellent in mathematics since childhood, and has won prizes in the provincial mathematics competition in both junior and senior high schools. After graduation, he worked as a high school math teacher in a number of well-known education groups. In Xueersi Education, he was responsible for teaching and research and courseware production. He has great experience teaching online to both large groups and small classes. During his work in New Oriental Education Group, Ivan is in charge of high school physics teaching, AP physics class in bilingual, as well as research and training for new teachers.
With many years of front-line teaching experience, Ivan is familiar with the curriculum of mathematics and physics for grades 8-12 and students' learning psychology. He is good at dealing with mathematics and physics problems from the perspective of connection and development by building a knowledge framework.
